Heathrow Terminal 4 Car Park Has Closed: Where to Park in 2026
The Terminal 4 multi-storey car park closed permanently on 23 June 2026 for a redevelopment expected to run until around 2031. All official T4 passenger parking has moved to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride on Scylla Road (TW6 3XL), reached by a free shuttle every five minutes. Heathrow's own Meet & Greet product is not available at Terminal 4 while the works continue. Drop-off at departures is unchanged; pick-up has moved and now costs more.
If you last flew from T4 before June, do not turn up expecting the old car park. It isn't there.
What has actually changed at Terminal 4
Heathrow has demolished and is rebuilding the T4 multi-storey as the lead project in a wider airport investment programme. The terminal itself is fully open — flights, check-in, security, baggage and the Underground and rail links are all running normally. It is only the parking and the pick-up arrangements that have moved.

Where you park for Terminal 4 now
What you need to know:
- Free shuttle buses run every five minutes between Zone A and the terminal, with the ride taking around six minutes.
- The buses are fully accessible and built to take a lot of luggage.
- The first two hours in Zone A are free — which is what makes it usable for meeting arriving passengers.
- After two hours, standard Park & Ride drive-up pricing applies: £9.40 for two to four hours, and £46.80 for the first 24 hours if you turn up without booking.
- There is dedicated Blue Badge parking in Zone A, and assisted-travel support to get passengers from the car park to the terminal.
- Other zones of the car park continue to run as the normal Park & Ride product and can still be booked online.
Turning up on the day at Terminal 4 is now an expensive way to park.
Meet and Greet at Terminal 4 is suspended — this matters
This is the change almost nobody has flagged clearly.
That is not a temporary week-long thing. The works are expected to run for several years.
So if you fly from T4 — Qatar Airways, Etihad, Air France, KLM, Malaysia Airlines and the other SkyTeam and partner carriers based there — and you have always used Meet & Greet, the official product is simply gone for now.
Off-airport operators fill the gap
Off-airport operators are the remaining option. That's where we come in. This is where costs have jumped. There are two ways to do it:
Black cabs, private hire and ride-hail vehicles continue to operate at Terminal 4 as normal.
Dropping off at Terminal 4
Drop-off at departures is unchanged — you still use the terminal forecourt, and the standard airport rules apply, including the £7 drop-off charge per entry and the 10-minute maximum stay.
